Pui Kiu College Achieves New Heights in the 2025 HKDSE Results!!

This year, a total of 125 students from our school sat for the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE). The vast majority of these students progressed directly from the first grade of our primary section. After twelve years of persistent effort by both staff and students, they have demonstrated outstanding performance and achieved excellent results. This achievement fully reflects the advantages and effectiveness of our "through-train" education model in cultivating students.

The overall results of the 2025 HKDSE are as follows:
 

• The percentage of students achieving Level 5 or above in all subjects is 50% (Hong Kong average: 14%), a record high.
  • The percentage of students achieving Level 5 or above in core subjects is 45%, broken down as follows:
    • Chinese Language: 27.1%
    • English Language: 54.4%
    • Mathematics: 53.6%
       
• The percentage of students achieving Level 4 or above in all subjects (i.e., the average subject excellence rate) is 82% (Hong Kong average: 37%), also a record high.
   
• 52 students achieved a best 5 subjects score of 25 points or above, accounting for 42% of all candidates.
   
• A total of 30 students achieved at least one Level 5**, including:
  • 1 student achieved five subjects at Level 5** and one subject at Level 5*
  • 1 student achieved four subjects at Level 5**, one at Level 5*, and one at Level 5
  • 3 students achieved three subjects at Level 5**, two at Level 5*, and one at Level 5
  • 25 students achieved two or one subject(s) at Level 5**
     

At the same time, the 29 students enrolled in the school’s International Curriculum (NCUK IFY) have also demonstrated outstanding performance, with an overall 93% achieving grade A or above. Furthermore, 90% of these students attained three or more A grades, including 8 students who achieved A* grades in four subjects.

Although the Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS) results will be officially released in August, we would like to take this opportunity to share some exciting news in advance:
 

• Four students received unconditional offers from Tsinghua University, Peking University, and Fudan University through the “Principal’s Nomination Scheme”.
• Two HKDSE students were admitted early to the University of Hong Kong’s Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery programme through the “School Nominations Direct Admission Scheme”.
• All International Curriculum (NCUK IFY) students have received offers from universities ranked within the top 20 in the QS World University Rankings, pursuing degrees in fields including Global Business, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Law, Veterinary Medicine, Finance, Accounting, and Engineering.

As we celebrate the 20th anniversary of Pui Kiu College, we feel immense pride and joy in our students’ achievements. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to all staff, students, and parents for their unwavering support and care. Let us continue to work hand in hand towards even greater success!
