Election of Alumni Manager for the Incorporated Management Committee – Notice of Uncontested Election

 

To: All Members of Pui Kiu College Alumni Association

Election Period: February 14, 2026 – February 28, 2026

 

In accordance with the Education Ordinance and the Constitution of the Incorporated Management Committee (IMC) of our School, the nomination for the election of the Alumni Manager was conducted from February 14, 2026, to February 28, 2026. During the nomination period, one valid nomination was received for the candidate, alumnus Mr. CHOW Yuen-kuk.

According to Article 4, Section 2 of the Election Regulations: "If there is only one candidate, the candidate shall be elected uncontested without the need for a poll." Therefore, I hereby announce that alumnus Mr. CHOW Yuen-kuk is elected uncontested as the Alumni Manager of the Incorporated Management Committee of Pui Kiu College for a two-year term, commencing from the date of official registration with the IMC.

I will submit the election results to the IMC in accordance with the established procedures, and the IMC will then apply to the Permanent Secretary for Education for registration. Upon completion of the registration, Mr. Chow will officially assume the duties of the Alumni Manager.

致：培僑書院全體校友會會員

 

今年適逢培僑書院成立21周年，校友會亦已成立一周年，為進一步參與母校發展，依據《教育條例》及本校法團校董會章程，校友會現正式啟動 「培僑書院法團校董會校友校董選舉」，誠邀各位合資格校友參選，擔任校友校董一職。

 

本人葉曉晴，獲培僑書院校友會理事會委任為是次選舉的選舉主任，將監察整個提名、選舉及點票工作。現將是次選舉的具體安排及細節闡述如下：

 

 一、 校友校董空缺及任期

1. 空缺數目： 1名

2. 任期：兩年，由培僑書院法團校董會註冊該成員為校董當日起計算。

 

二、 候選人資格

候選人必須同時符合以下條件：

1. 培僑書院校友會基本會員；

2. 沒有觸犯《教育條例》第30條所列之常任秘書長可拒絕校董註冊的理由。

 

三、 校友校董的職責

校友校董作為法團校董會成員，須：

1. 以母校及學生的福祉為依歸，參與制訂學校發展方向；

2. 出席法團校董會會議，就學校管理、財務、課程等事宜參與決策；

3. 在校董會中反映校友的意見，促進校友與學校的溝通協作。

 

 四、 選舉日程及提名安排

1. 提名期 ：2026年2月14日至 2026年2月28日（14天）

2. 如只有一名候選人，則自動當選，不另舉行投票。

3. 如無人參選，本會會考慮延長提名期最多兩星期，稍後發佈通告。

4. 如多於一人參選，選舉日將於不少於7天前通知全體會員候選人的名單及簡介。

5. 投票及點票日期將另行公佈。

 

五、 提名及參選方法

1. 提名方式： 

   每名會員可提名本人或提名另一名合資格校友。

2. 和議要求： 

   每項提名須有兩名和議人，其中：

   - 一位和議人必須是校友會會員；

   - 另一位和議人須為校友會理事。

3. 遞交資料： 

獲提名的候選人須向選舉主任提供：

- 已填妥的提名表格（隨本信附上）；

- 個人簡介（字數不超過200字），內容須包括：

- 姓名、畢業年份、職業／現況；

- 參選抱負及對校友校董角色的理解；

- 申報沒有觸犯《教育條例》第30條所列理由。

4. 遞交方式： 

   請於2026年2月28日或之前，將提名表格及個人簡介電郵至選舉主任信箱：

   電郵標題請註明：「校友校董選舉提名 – 候選人姓名」。

Invitation to Alumni to Participate in the Inaugural Election of the Alumni Association Council of Pui Kiu College（Chinese Only）

 

今年是培僑書院成立 20 周年！培僑書院已成立校友會籌備委員會，希望進一步凝聚校友，發揚培僑書院優良傳統，進一步加強培僑人之間的互相幫助與聯繫。第一屆校友會理事會選舉將於 2025 年5 月 7 日(星期三)舉行，現誠邀各校友參與是次選舉，為母校及校友會出一分力，當日亦會舉行2024-2025 年度校友會會員大會。第一屆培僑書院校友會理事會選舉將委任何天佑老師作為選舉主任，有關校友會理事會選舉細則及程序如下：

 

選舉形式

理事會人數:	採用內閣制形式，內閣人數八至十五名。
理事會成員:	必須包括核心成員：主席一人，副主席兩人及理事若干。
理事會任期:	任期為三年(2025 年 9 月 1 日至 2028 年 8 月 31 日)

 

選舉程序

候選人資格:	本會所有基本會員均符合參選資格。 (候選會長及副會長及秘書長須獲得本會最少 1 名當然顧問及最少 3 名會務顧問提名)
程序:	1. 理事會候選內閣提名期定於即日至 2025 年 4 月 20 日，候選內閣需向學校提出參選要求，並提交相關個人資料，包括聯絡方法、個人介紹及其參選政綱等資料*。 2. 會員如有意成為候選內閣各成員須填妥參選表格(見附件一)，並整合一份內閣參選政綱(見附件二)，於參選截止日期(20/04/2025)前電郵至選舉主任何天佑老師郵箱[email protected]。選舉主任將於 2025 年 4 月 22 日透過電郵會確認參選資格，如未能接收確認電郵，請於 2025 年 4 月 23 日辦公時間內(星期一至五:9:00 - 16:00)致電 26023166 至培僑書院校務處查詢。 3. 理事會將於投票日前兩星期(2025 年 4 月 23 日)，利用學校網頁公佈參選人相關資料，並通知各會員有關召開會員大會之安排事宜。 4. 選舉完成後，將於學校網頁公布有關選舉的結果。 5. 會員大會暨理事會選舉理事會選舉(投票)日期及時間: 2025年 5 月 7 日(星期三)下午 4 時 30 分。
選舉方法:	1. 投票採用不記名方式在會員大會進行。 2. 在會員大會中，當日出席之榮譽會員及基本會員均有權進行投票。候選內閣者獲得出席者過半數的支持票，即為當選，成為新一屆校友會理事會。

Confirmation of Candidate Cabinet Registration and Election Details for the Inaugural Alumni Association Council of Pui Kiu College

 

The Election Officer (Mr. Ho Tin Yau) of the First Term Alumni Association Council of Pui Kiu College confirms that one candidate cabinet—Phoennovator (hereinafter referred to as Cabinet No. 1)—has submitted its election application by April 20, 2025. The list of cabinet members and their manifesto can be found in Appendix 1.

 

In accordance with the election registration details issued by the Pui Kiu College Alumni Association Preparatory Committee on the school website on March 24, 2025, the Election Officer confirms that the registration of Cabinet No. 1 is valid.

 

Details of the General Meeting and Council Election (Voting):

 

Voting Date: Wednesday, May 7, 2025

 

Voting Time: 16:30 – 16:45

 

Venue: Pui Kiu College, 3rd Floor School Hall

 

Voting Method: Voting will be conducted anonymously. All basic members of the Pui Kiu College Alumni Association and honorary members (current teaching staff of Pui Kiu College) are eligible to participate. Please bring a valid identification document for alumni verification.

 

Remarks: To ensure the smooth running of the election, please arrive on time.

 Pui Kiu College Establishes Alumni Association – Inaugural Alumni Council Successfully Elected at General Meeting

 

This Wednesday (May 7), Pui Kiu College held the first general meeting of its Alumni Association, where the inaugural Alumni Council—named "Phoennovator" (剏鶠)—was elected through a vote. Alumni Mr Chow Yuen-kuk, elected as the first president of the Alumni Association, explained that "Yàn" (鶠) is defined in Shuowen Jiezi (《說文解字》) as "phoenix," aligning perfectly with the school's emblem. Meanwhile, "Chuàng" (剏) carries the meaning of "innovator," symbolizing the inaugural Alumni Council's commitment to taking the lead in giving back to their alma mater.

The Council pledged to dedicate itself to fostering communication and collaboration among alumni while injecting new vitality into the development of the school.
